Why me?

I am a true linguist with deep respect for languages, their structure and mentality.

Many people become language teachers simply because they have failed in their other careers. If this is the case, then in my opinion they don’t actually have the right to call themselves teachers.

Ask yourself a simple question: could you be a good teacher of your native language just because you can speak it easily?

I on the other hand have graduated from linguistic studies and I keep challenging myself with various official language exams in order to know precisely what my students need to be prepared for.

Why are classes with me more effective than in many language schools?

If you go to a random language school, you will be most probably talked into buying a huge package and then attend standard off-the-shelf classes. If you are lucky enough to get into a group of 5 people, your average time of speaking under full teacher’s supervision is not more than 9 minutes out of a 45 minutes class!

At the beginning of my career path I worked in 4 language schools, in everyone of which I was forced to match strict plans and class structures that were designed by methodologists of those schools. That’s when I saw that there is nothing like two identical groups, let alone two identical students, which is why one universal approach to all the students simply doesn't work. There is always need to prepare materials for the very specific need of the group or the particular student.

Learning a language is not mass production in a factory. I guarantee that I tailor our program precisely according to your personal needs and goals. What’s more, you get my full focus and attention throughout the whole class, since unlike many other teachers I never waste working time on giving you big reading or listening tasks, unless for some reason this really is your only goal. Otherwise you will practise real speaking skills during up to 80% of every lesson.

Are you bored of standard coursebooks with weird, unworldly texts and dialogues?

I have over 50 different coursebooks in my professional library!
On top of that I don’t hesitate to use various printable materials from professional teachers’ resources as well as youtube blogs, movies and series or even make baking sessions in the language that my students are learning.

What’s more if I see the need to prepare additional materials for some specific topics, I do that myself.
This is how three of my own coursebooks came to life. Moreover, in my linguistic blog you can also find over 300 various exercises on Polish grammar, vocabulary, phonetics, culture etc.

‘I am too old for learning a language!’, ‘Isn’t it too early for my children to start learning a foreign language?’

There are no age restrictions in my classes. I have worked with people of the age of over 70 as well as with a 2-years-old toddler.

My secret is in flexible approach, deep psychological understanding of my students’ characters, interests, background and struggles.

I am determined that the whole process is engaging and therefore effective!

‘We make a living by what we get. We make a life by what we give’. Winston Churchill

Donating to the community has always been very important and rewarding to me. This is why I publish all my materials, coursebooks and exercises free of charge. You can also find my free 10 classes course on Polish grammar on youtube. Initially it was made for the Ukrainian refugees, but I am very happy to see that it helps different groups of people, including Belarusian and Russian political refugees as well as those who simply cannot afford a fully-paid course, but still want to assimilate in Poland or learn for their own amusement. Later I uploaded on youtube a similar course on English grammar.

On top of that I participate in various local charities. The most permanent cause that I have been supporting strongly over the last years is Berenika Borkowska, a Polish girl who since birth has been struggling with the consequences of spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I transfer the full payment for the third class with every new student to her personal account in Polish charity organisation “Dzieciom Zdążyć z Pomocą”.

I want to learn with you. What are my first steps?

If you have already made up your mind and you would like me to be your teacher, please contact me. You can also check out my prices, packages and discount plans here.

Once you’ve contacted me, we will arrange a free trial 30-minutes lesson where I will decide what level your language is at, you will tell me your specific goals, we will set an individual studying plan, including weekly schedule, coursebooks etc.

Please remember that you are always welcome to ask me any linguistic and cultural questions even between our classes. You have seen an interesting billboard, but you are not sure what it says? You havecome across an unusual construction in the book that you are reading? You have to write to your landlord, but you are not sure if you chose the right words? You can write your questions to me on Whatsapp, Telegram or by e-mail.

If your question doesn't require a big, detailed analysis, I usually answer within maximum a couple of hours. Otherwise I make a note to include this issue in our next class plan.
